OS X Lion 10.7(.1) in the Workplace?

OS X Lion

I currently have OS X 10.7.1 installed on my two personal computers, and from an administration stand-point, I’m very much enjoying (most of) the new features in Lion.

At work, I’m always a little hesitant to put any kind of .0 OS release on my work computer. At this point 10.7.1 was recently released, and I’m finding myself more and more tempted to upgrade my Mac Pro at work to the latest and greatest that Apple has to offer.

Considering that 10.7.1 was only a 17MB download for my MacBook Pro, and for my Mac Mini, I’m not sure that they addressed a large enough list of bugs to make it suitable in the workplace. I have an up-to-date Snow Leopard (10.6.8), so if Lion (10.7.1) turned out to be a bad idea, I can always revert back, however, spending hours on my machine, at work, isn’t too much of an option. Optimally, it would install fine, software would all work, and I’d be up and working on the latest OS in 45 minutes to an hour.

I will update this post if/when I end up updating, as I’m excited to do so. In the mean-time, if anyone has upgraded their work machine to 10.7.0 or 10.7.1, any feedback with regard to your success and/or failures would be greatly appreciated!
