How to fix “imapd-ssl: Maximum connection limit reached for”

At home, I was attempting to change my outgoing email address on my phone, when my phone popped up and mentioned that it wasn’t getting a response from my mail server. I attempted it from my phone, my computer, and from webmail before reviewing the server logs for more information.

I kept getting an “imapd-ssl: Maximum connection limit reached for” and my IP address, specifically.

So .. The funny thing about Linux and only having a Command Line Interface (CLI) is that syntax, REALLY, matters…

HP, make up your mind.

HP said yesterday that they are going to produce another run of their little tablet that could, the HP TouchPad. It would be expected that the tablet will go on sale at the fire sale pricing of $99. In addition to all of this insanity, an HP spokesmen has also announced an over the air update that will add certain, unannounced capabilities to the WebOS tablet.

It's blowing away...

Come on people! Can we please stop mourning over Steve Jobs’ retirement? First, this isn’t a “retirement.” He will still be at Apple, as an “employee.” In addition to that, he is now the friggin’ chairman of the friggin’ board! He hasn’t gone anywhere. He’s doing the same things he’s been doing since he started his most recent medical leave of absence, in January of this year. He pops in, and makes sure everything is to his satisfaction, makes some judgement calls, and calls it a day.
